Our Philanthropy: circle of sisterhood

Circle of Sisterhood is a non-profit organization founded by sorority women. It is our Panhellenic community’s philanthropy. The foundation raises money to break the barrier between education and poverty. It is a mechanism for sorority women to stand together as one to help women across the world become more educated. Collectively, we are one of the largest communities of college-educated women in the world.

For too many girls and women around the world, access to quality education is often limited. Two-thirds of all illiterate adults in the world are women, and not even 7% of the world’s population is college educated. Ultimately, more and more educated girls will mean stronger and healthier villages, communities, and entire countries.

It is our job not only as women but members of the Panhellenic community to fight for this injustice and help support and provide for the education of women across the globe.

Sincerely,
Taylor Davlin
LSU PHC Director of Philanthropy

Our plans as a community:

This year, Taylor, our Director of Philanthropy, has a goal for our community to be the highest fundraising chapter in the country for Circle of Sisterhood!

To accomplish this, she has set a goal for $35,000 for the Panhellenic community. The goal was set in connection with a company through Circle of Sisterhood that builds schools in countries all across the world.

By reaching this goal, we as a community will have raised enough money to build a school for underprivileged women. The ability to raise money to build money to build a school will change the trajectory and education of women’s lives tremendously
